About this place
Stay with a village family on the edge of the Xe Pian wetlands — wake to birdsong and walk with local mahouts and their elephants.
A traditional Lao house on stilts: mattresses on the floor with mosquito nets, and a shared scoop-shower bathroom. Every meal uses fish and vegetables from the village.
The community tourism group runs hikes up Phou Asa, wetland boat trips in the wet season and elephant walks (no riding). Income stays in the village.
